David Rye

Senior Vice President, Strategy and Corporate Development

As Senior Vice President of Strategy and Corporate Development, David Rye ensures that JDA is on point strategically and performing well operationally, while also exploring investment and partnership opportunities to accelerate the company’s growth. He is responsible for shaping JDA's corporate strategy around its portfolio, services, cloud and go-to-market approach, and operationalizing this strategy cross-functionally.

David joined JDA in April 2017 from Informatica Corporation, where he served as SVP of corporate development, responsible for strategy, corporate and business development, strategic investments, and operational transformation initiatives. At Informatica, he played a pivotal role in helping drive the company’s revenue growth from $390 million to $1.1 billion, overseeing the company's organic growth strategies and the acquisition and integration of numerous companies. Prior to spending nine years in the software industry at Informatica and Hyperion Solutions, he spent over five years as a private equity investor at Thayer Capital Partners and Atlas Venture. David began his career in investment banking at Robertson Stephens & Co. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in economics from Princeton and a Master of Business Administration from Stanford Graduate School of Business.

If not orchestrating game-changing deals with Blue Yonder and MuleSoft, David would be a helicopter ski guide. On the weekends, he can often be found with this family, coaching his kids’ sports and when time allows, either skiing or cycling.
